Fiat camper van front bumper repair
Here we at Immaculate Repairs Peterborough were asked by the customer to bring the textured area of the front bumper back to its original look before they put it up for sale ensuring they have a good chance of receiving their full asking price.
Unfortunately the previous owner had the same idea before selling it and had carried out some rather questionable DIY. This resulted in large areas of flaking paint due to wrong processes and products previously used. Also adding some fine line tape to disguise some poor masking afterwards.

Our first task was to remove the
Blue and silver fine line tape a delicate operation due the painted area on the bumper being fragile but with the correct knowledge not at problem for us at Immaculate Repairs Mobile Car Body Repairs Peterborough.
Next we had to remove the old product unfortunately having to sand by hand was the only method possible due to the previous product being too tacky to machine sand also using solvent wasn’t an option due to the fragile painted area.

Once the area was prepped and masked first we applied a plastic primer to ensure we have full adhesion avoiding flaking paint in the future.
We then have to apply a structure coat to give the original textured look and feel to the bumper. This is rubbed down and re applied three times making sure we have full even coverage.
One final rub down and we are now ready to apply the colour and finally a top coat of Matt lacquer protecting the pigment from fading in future.
